Sreser - Peninsula Pelješac, Croatia

sresermalaSreser is a small place on the southern part of the Peljesac Peninsula in Croatia located some 30 kilometers west of Ston. Famous for its excellent wines and beautiful Mediterranean landscape, it was once known for its seafaring men of sea captains and seamen.

Sreser is traditionally an agricultural and fishing settlement, with its locals living off the land and sea. But with the onset of tourism, it has slowly evolved into a tourist hub with Sresar, Peljesac, apartments and rooms in modern private houses as well as a summer campsite. Beaches are varied in Sreser, from sandy to pebble beaches to rocky beaches in the bay. It is also a site of a Roman archaeological finding. The church of Mala Gospa is located here as well as ancient paintings of unknown masters depicting the birth of Mary as well as the patron saints of the Dubronik citizens and seamen, St. Vlahoa and St. Nicolas.
